Adolescence is one of the most significant phases in a child’s life — a time of growth, self-discovery, and transformation. At Shreyas, we understand that every parent seeks a nurturing environment where their child is valued not merely as a student, but as an individual with unique potential.

The Kishore Vibhag, thoughtfully designed for Standards 9 to 12, serves as a supportive space for these formative years. It offers students an inspiring atmosphere away from the pressures of conventional schooling. Surrounded by nature, open-air learning spaces, and peaceful wooded pathways, students are encouraged to grow with freedom, responsibility, and confidence.

Each day at Shreyas begins with a deeply meaningful morning prayer known as “Ek Hai” — a cherished tradition that brings the entire community together in a spirit of unity, peace, and mindfulness. More than a prayer, it is a moment of collective reflection where students pause, connect with themselves, and begin the day with clarity and purpose. In the calm embrace of our natural campus, the resonating words of Ek Hai nurture values of oneness, harmony, and gratitude. This daily ritual instills in every child a sense of belonging and reminds them that education is not only about knowledge, but also about inner growth, compassion, and shared humanity.

Preparing for the Real World

As students move closer to adulthood, the Integrated Internship Program bridges the gap between academic learning and practical experience.

Through our Karm-Yog model, students gain hands-on exposure to meaningful responsibilities that develop professional confidence and work ethics. Opportunities may include:

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Land and Revenue

  • Digital marketing

  • Architecture and interior design

  • Digital marketing

  • Accounting and finance

  • Astrophysics

  • Architecture and interior design

These experiences help students explore their strengths and interests before choosing their specialization in Science, Commerce, or Arts.

Rather than choosing a career path based on assumption, students make informed decisions through lived experiences and guided mentorship.

Science Labs

At Shreyas, our curriculum is inspired by the philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi, which emphasises learning through experience and real-life application. Our laboratories bring this vision to life by encouraging observation, exploration, and meaningful experimentation. Students develop curiosity, a scientific temper, and a deeper connection with the world around them

Alumni

Our alumni form a strong network and are well established in their fields, reflecting the values of Shreyas. They actively contribute to Ekhai and school initiatives, inspiring students and strengthening the community through continued engagement.

Students Workshops

Workshops at Shreyas offer students opportunities to explore new skills, think creatively, and engage in hands-on learning. These experiences enrich academic learning while building confidence, collaboration, and real-world understanding.

Training of Karyakars

To meet evolving 21st-century learning needs, Shreyas conducts continuous training programmes for  Karyakars. These sessions focus on upskilling Karyakars, integrating technology, and adopting innovative, student-centred teaching practices.

Sangkarya

Inspired by the values of Mahatma Gandhi, Sanghkarya at Shreyas engages students in community service activities focused on cleanliness and care for their surroundings. Through collective effort, students develop responsibility, discipline, and respect for their environment.

Activity Based Learning

At Shreyas, learning is designed through activity-based approaches across all subjects and chapters. Students build conceptual clarity by engaging in hands-on tasks, collaborative work, and real-life applications that develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Preparing Global Citizens: The Harmony of Academic Rigor and Life Skills

In the transformative high school years at Shreyas Foundation, the educational mandate expands far beyond the confines of board examinations. We recognize that the modern era does not merely require graduates who can memorize textbooks; it demands "Global Citizens"—individuals possessing the intellectual agility, emotional intelligence, and ethical grounding to navigate a rapidly evolving, interconnected world. For our senior students, the high school experience is a carefully calibrated balancing act, seamlessly merging the rigorous academic demands of their curriculum with the mastery of advanced, real-world life skills.

The Shreyas approach to this delicate balance is rooted in integration rather than separation. We do not view academic rigor and practical life skills as competing forces vying for a student's time; rather, they are treated as two sides of the same pedagogical coin. While our adolescents tackle complex theorems in mathematics or delve deep into economic analysis, they are simultaneously internalizing the critical life skills of time management, intellectual endurance, and collaborative problem-solving. By moving lessons out of the traditional four-walled classroom and into our open-air Van-shala (forest-campus), academic concepts are immediately tested against physical reality, ensuring that intellectual growth is always tethered to practical application.

Furthermore, preparing a true global citizen requires the deliberate cultivation of socio-emotional and vocational maturity. Our high schoolers are entrusted with advanced responsibilities that mirror the complex demands of the adult world. Through our student-led campus councils, they master the nuanced arts of self-governance, conflict resolution, and democratic leadership. Through our integrated internship and vocational modules—whether they are managing digital data, curating heritage archives, or leading environmental sustainability projects—they develop a profound work ethic and a deep-seated respect for the dignity of labor (Shram).

Ultimately, a Shreyas graduate steps into the global arena armed with a unique dual strength. They possess the robust academic credentials necessary to excel at premier universities, yet they remain deeply anchored by their rich cultural Sanskars (values). They are taught to think critically on a global scale while acting with profound compassion within their local community. By weaving advanced life skills directly into the daily academic fabric, we ensure that our high schoolers do not just survive the pressures of the modern world—they step forward as confident, self-aware architects fully prepared to shape its future.

Leadership and Compassion: The Stewardship of the Shreyas Community

At the Shreyas Foundation, the concept of student leadership fundamentally diverges from the conventional model of prefect badges and authoritative hierarchies. Within the Kishore Vibhag, leadership is inextricably bound to compassion; it is viewed not as a position of power, but as a profound commitment to service (Seva). As our students transition into their senior high school years, they naturally assume the role of campus stewards. Guided by the institutional ethos of Swayam-Shisht (self-discipline), they are taught that true influence is born from a deep-rooted empathy for their community.

The most vibrant manifestation of this compassionate leadership is witnessed during the organization of our grand institutional festivals, or Utsavs. Whether it is the physical symphony of the Vyayam Utsav, the aquatic endurance of the Taran Utsav, or the cultural brilliance of Vasantotsav, these monumental campus events are largely driven by our senior students. They are entrusted with complex logistical responsibilities that demand meticulous planning, collaborative problem-solving, and acute emotional intelligence. However, their leadership is measured not merely by the flawless execution of an event, but by their fiercely inclusive approach. A true student leader at Shreyas is the one who notices a hesitant junior lingering on the sidelines and gently guides them into the fold, ensuring that the spirit of the Utsav remains a celebration of collective joy rather than an exclusionary spectacle.

This leadership model is sustained daily by the Gandhian principle of Shram-Bhakti (the dignity of labor). When organizing community events, older students do not merely delegate tasks from afar; they lead by example. They work shoulder-to-shoulder with their peers and juniors to sweep the Van-shala (forest-campus) amphitheatres, arrange infrastructure, and manage the foundational groundwork. This shared physical labor strips away adolescent ego, fostering a horizontal, democratic dynamic where respect is earned through humility and hard work rather than bestowed by a senior title. Beyond the Utsavs, these older students act as patient mentors, mediating conflicts and guiding younger children through their own developmental transitions with the care of older siblings.

Ultimately, by entrusting our senior students with the authentic stewardship of their campus and its cultural heartbeat, we forge leaders of exceptional caliber. They graduate from the Shreyas Foundation not merely as capable organizers or academic achievers, but as deeply compassionate global citizens who intuitively understand that the highest, most enduring form of leadership is the quiet, consistent act of uplifting those around them.

Real-World Readiness: Forging Innovators and Independent Thinkers

At the Shreyas Foundation, we believe that true education must extend far beyond the protective canopy of our Van-shala (forest-campus). As students progress through their senior years, our pedagogical focus crystallizes on "Real-World Readiness." However, we do not define this readiness merely by conventional university placements or standard career counseling. Instead, we focus on meticulously translating our foundational values of creativity and critical thinking into tangible, lifelong competencies. In an era where specific job descriptions can become obsolete within a decade, we do not train our high schoolers for a single, predictable profession; rather, we equip them with the intellectual agility to adapt to, and thrive within, an entirely unpredictable future.

Critical thinking at Shreyas is actively cultivated through the rigorous discipline of independent research. We challenge our adolescents to move past the passive consumption of textbook information and step into the role of active knowledge creators. Whether they are investigating local ecological shifts within our 28-acre campus, designing a sociological survey, or analyzing raw data for a commerce project, students are taught to question assumptions, synthesize complex information, and present evidence-based conclusions. This inquiry-driven approach ensures that by the time they graduate, they possess the analytical stamina required for high-level university research and the acute discernment necessary to navigate a modern world flooded with information.

Parallel to this analytical rigor is the practical application of creativity. In the Shreyas Way, creativity is never confined solely to the fine arts studios or the Shri Rangam amphitheatre; it is recognized as the ultimate problem-solving tool for the modern workforce. Through our integrated vocational and internship modules, students learn to apply creative thinking directly to real-world challenges. A student tasked with managing institutional website data learns the creative logic of digital architecture, while one apprenticing in the Lokayatan Folk Museum discovers innovative ways to curate and narrate history. By encountering genuine professional hurdles, they learn to pivot, iterate, and design solutions that are both effective and empathetic.

Ultimately, this seamless synthesis of critical inquiry and creative problem-solving forges a deeply resilient individual. A Shreyas graduate steps into the global arena not as a rigid specialist, but as a dynamic innovator. They are fully prepared to spearhead independent research, tackle unprecedented global challenges, and carve out deeply meaningful careers. By transforming abstract educational values into concrete professional competencies, we ensure our adolescents are not just ready to enter the real world—they are fully equipped to elevate it.
